The To Do List

House Beautiful’s Facebook page is getting lots of traffic today for the question it posed: What home project are you putting off?

It always feels like my to do list is much longer than my already-done list. I’ve known for two years that we need to repaint the railings on our deck – good Lord, why did we let our architect talk us into purchasing real wood over maintenance-free synthetic?

Ah, those elusively pristine white pickets! Ours are peeling, and you can see the holes from the nail gun. Ugh.

I’m not alone – seems like painting tops most people’s list of things to do on the House Beautiful page. What’s on your list?
